Hollywood superstar Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson praised Donald Trump for his courage after coming within millimeters of death in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July.
Johnson made the remarks during an appearance at The Vault Conference in Florida last week, which was organized by Patrick Bet-David.
“Whether you love Donald, don’t love Donald, it doesn’t matter: They tried to assassinate him. There’s no room for that,” Johnson said.
“Despite it being who we were in that moment, I still believe in my core that is not who we are as a country.
“So him standing up at that moment, we wanted to see that.”

Johnson also described how Trump used to visit Madison Square Garden to watch him perform.
“It was great,” the actor said. “First time I saw him, he said, ‘Let me see the eyebrows.’”
Although Johnson endorsed Biden-Harris in 2020, he has made it clear that he won’t be endorsing any candidate this time around, which is perhaps the closest the savvy star, who is generally careful to stay out of politics, will come to an endorsement of Donald Trump.
In an interview with Will Cain on Fox back in April, Johnson said, “My goal is to bring this country together.”
“I will keep my politics to myself. It is between me and the ballot box. Like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for that is my president and who I will support 100 percent.”
He did say, however, that he was far from happy with the situation in America under Biden-Harris.
“Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well that answer’s no. Do I believe we are going to get better? I believe in that, I’m an optimistic guy and I believe we can get better.”
