A disheartening TikTok video features time-lapse footage of a female teenager documenting changes to her voice as she underwent a year’s worth of testosterone treatments.
While the teen in the end claims to be happy, she also appears sad in some of the vignettes, possibly as she comes to grips with the true scope and horror of permanently damaging her biology.
The upsetting video, which concludes with the teen’s voice sounding slightly lower than it originally was – but still nowhere near a male timbre, should serve as a cautionary tale to impressionable young people curious about betraying God’s creation with similar chemical changes.
