A transgender activist was ridiculed on Twitter after burning copies of Harry Potter books while asserting, “Cancel culture wins again.”
The individual, Tess 5G, posted images and a video of the book burning session while proclaiming, “These were my old books from childhood, and it was cathartic as hell.”

Harry Potter author JK Rowling routinely enrages transgender activists by asserting that biological women are being discriminated against, erased and put under threat as a result of trans people being treated as women.
“When you throw open the doors of bathrooms and changing rooms to any man who believes or feels he’s a woman … then you open the door to any and all men who wish to come inside,” Rowling wrote last year.
Such common sense has been branded as an “attack” on the transgender community.
Respondents to the book burning tweet pointed out the similarity to how religious fundamentalists wanted to burn Harry Potter books in the 2000s.

“Gotta love how Evangelicals burning Harry Potter books for containing “witchcraft” was “censoring freedom of speech,” but now that they apparently contain stuff that go against your beliefs it’s totally cool. You’re on their level now, can’t have your cake and eat it too,” said another respondent.

“You won at making yourself look like a cereal fascist,” added another. “Also, don’t flatter yourself: stuff like this is wonderful for the war against cancel culture.”
