Donald Trump has moved ahead of Kamala Harris in Nevada and is narrowing the gap in Minnesota and New Mexico, according to new polling.

In the poll, commissioned by Rasmussen for American Thinker, Trump leads Harris 49-48 in Nevada. The state has not voted red since George W. Bush in 2004.

Trump is within three points of Harris in Minnesota, which currently stands at 46-49 respectively, and six points in New Mexico, which stands at 44-50.

The polling from Minnesota should be particularly worrying for the Harris campaign, given that the vice president’s running-mate, Tim Walz, is currently the governor of the state.

Walz himself may be the problem. A recent poll conducted by KARE 11, MPR News and the Minnesota Star Tribune found that 48% of voters in the stand viewed Walz favourably, while 47% viewed him unfavourably.

Walz has been dogged by embarrassing revelations since being picked as Kamala Harris’s VP. He has been accused of inflating his military record and stolen valour, and of being an agent for the Chinese Communist Party.

Walz is now being investigated for his ties to the Chinese Communist Party, spanning a period of decades. The House Oversight Committee, led by Rep. James Comer, announced an investigation last month.
