
President Donald Trump is projected to win Alaska less than a day after winning North Carolina, according to Decision Desk HQ.
Oddly, Alaska should have been called days ago, as Trump was ahead 56.95% to Joe Biden’s 39.11% with over 80% of the votes in.
Trump’s surge in victories comes shortly after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told a disappointed press that there would be a “smooth transition” to a second Trump administration.
“There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration,” said Pompeo. “We’re ready. The world is watching what’s taking place. We’re going to count all the votes, when the process is complete there will be electors selected.”
“There’s a process. The Constitution lays it out pretty clearly.”
