Former President Donald Trump vowed to abolish taxes on tips earned by workers in the service industry, a bombshell campaign promise that if kept would hand a lifeline to millions of Americans enduring crushing Biden-flation.

Speaking at a rally in Las Vegas on Sunday, Trump said if he’s reelected one of his first tasks would be to eliminate federal taxes on tips for hospitality workers.

“So this is the first time I’ve said this, and for those hotel workers and people that get tips you’re going to be very happy because when I get to office, we are going to not charge taxes on tips, on people making tips,” Trump said.

He added he’d “do that right away, first thing in office.”

“It’s been a point of contention for years and years and years, and you do a great job of service, you take care of people, and I think it’s going to be something that really is deserved,” Trump said, addressing service workers.

Addressing Trump’s effort to do away with the tax burden on tips, the Culinary Workers Union rejected the campaign promise, saying, “Relief is definitely needed for tip earners, but Nevada workers are smart enough to know the difference between real solutions and wild campaign promises from a convicted felon.”

However, one CBS News reporter admitted she’d spoken with several hotel and service workers who said the tax relief would influence their vote in November.
