Donald Trump issued a video message Tuesday revealing his plan to address the nation’s out-of-control homeless and drug problem if elected president a second time.
Announcing the latest addition to his Agenda47 presidential platform, Trump explained once-great U.S. cities have become nightmares most people don’t want to visit let alone call home.
Of course, the dishonest media is printing headlines claiming Trump’s agenda is to “ban” or “criminalize” simply being homeless.
However, as he noted in the recent address, Trump’s plan is to ban camping in urban areas.
“Under my strategy, working with states, we will ban urban camping wherever possible,” Trump said. “Violators of these bans will be arrested, but they will be given the option to accept treatment and services if they’re willing to be rehabilitated.”
The 45th President also told Americans the homeless “have no right” to turn every park and sidewalk into a place where they squat and do drugs, saying other citizens shouldn’t have to walk over needles to get around town.
“We want to take care of them but they have to be off our streets,” he added. “There is nothing compassionate about letting these individuals live in filth and squalor rather than getting them the help they need.”
Regarding military veterans in the homeless community, Trump said, “For a small fraction of what we spend upon Ukraine, we could take care of every homeless veteran in America. Our veterans are being treated horribly.”
Individuals who are caught violating camping bans will be given the option to receive treatments and rehab services, according to Trump.
The top GOP presidential candidate explained homeless Americans who want to work will be given jobs, those who have drug addictions will receive treatment and those with severe mental illnesses will be placed into mental institutions with the goal of getting them back into society.
Conservative author Brigitte Gabriel pointed out on Twitter, “Joe Biden wants to solve the homeless problem in Ukraine. Donald Trump wants to solve the homeless problem in the United States.”
