Twitter temporarily suspended the accounts of Project Veritas and its founder James O’Keefe Thursday, after a reporter for the watchdog group confronted Facebook’s Integrity VP on censorship.

Social media posts show Twitter locked O’Keefe’s and Veritas’ accounts for purportedly “posting private information.”

“We have determined that this account violated the Twitter rules,” a message from Twitter claims. “Specifically, for: Violating our rules against posting private information. You may not publish or post other people’s private information without their express authorization and permission.”

On Thursday, Veritas published its latest exposé targeting Facebook over a policy that freezes comments in posts detected by an algorithm as containing “hate speech.”

The new algorithm was discussed in a private meeting by Facebook integrity VP Guy Rosen, who claimed the system helped protect election integrity.

“We have a system that is able to freeze commenting on threads in cases where our systems are detecting that there may be a thread that has hate speech or violence…these are all things we’ve built over the past three-four years as part of our investments into the integrity space our efforts to protect the election,” Rosen said in video of the meeting obtained by Veritas.

When Project Veritas attempted to get clarification on the new system, catching up with Rosen following a run, he evaded them and fled into his home.
