The Department of Justice is now trying to get involved in the Arizona vote audit, in violation of the Constitution.
The civil rights division of the DOJ sent a letter to Arizona Senate President Karen Fann on Wednesday demanding an explanation for how the state is conducting the Maricopa County audit.
The letter appears to be prompted by an April 30 complaint from the far-left group called the Brennan Center, which pleaded with the DOJ to intervene in the audit over “voter intimidation” and “security of ballots.”
The DOJ’s letter obediently adhered to the Brennan Center’s plea, because it demanded a “response to the concerns described herein, including advising us of the steps that the Arizona Senate will take to ensure that violations of federal law do not occur.”
Notably, the letter does not present any factual evidence whatsoever to base its concerns about the audit — only media reports.
The DOJ appears to have violated Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 of the United States Constitution, which states that the power to oversee elections is granted exclusively to state legislatures.
In other words, the federal government has no authority in this matter.
For the DOJ to violate the Constitution in this way signals a desperate bid by the Democrats to stop Arizona’s presidential election audit.
But since the media is too busy running cover for Biden and the Democrats, this alarming constitutional development likely won’t be widely reported.
