Infuriating footage captured the moments unhinged climate change activists attacked the iconic Stonehenge monument in England.

Video shows the prehistoric rock structure believed to have been built over 5,000 years ago being defaced by two Just Stop Oil activists using a device emitting orange powder.

The desecration of the cultural monument prompted many to question exactly how the stunt protested fossil fuel use.

Just Stop Oil said they performed the stunt to get lawmakers to agree to “sign up to a legally binding treaty to phase out fossil fuels by 2030.”

The group also claimed the powder they used was orange cornflour that “will soon wash away with the rain,” however X Community Notes points out lichen growing on the monument which protects the stones could have been damaged.

Police arrested the activists, who will likely face charges considering Stonehenge is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The extreme far-left protesters have been responsible for various other inane stunts targeting cultural icons, including destroying the glass protecting a 17th-century painting inside a British museum, smearing orange paint on a Vincent Van Gogh painting, and an attempt to break the glass protecting the historic Magna Carta document.
