Heartening video out of Chicago students walking out of their high school for continuing to impose mask mandates in defiance of a court order.
A group of Vernon Hills High School students on Monday decided to walk out after their school principal Jon Guillaume issued an ultimatum: wear the mask, or leave the school.
The students chose to leave.
After being escorted into gymnasium, maskless students were told to put the masks on or leave.
They left, given ‘mental health’ day.

This comes after a judge issued a temporary restraining order on Friday against Gov. J.B. Pritzker’s (D) mask mandate for schools, calling it a “type of evil the law was intended to restrain.”
“The arbitrary method as to contact tracing and masking in general continue to raise fair questions as to the legality of the Executive Orders in light of violations of healthy children’s substantive due process rights,” wrote Sangamon County Circuit Court Judge Raylene Grischow. “Statutory rights have attempted to be bypassed through the issuance of Executive Orders and Emergency Rules…This type of evil is exactly what the law was intended to constrain.”
The ruling applies to nearly 170 Chicago-area school districts, including Vernon Hill High School’s district in Lake County, which the school has openly violated.
Meanwhile, Chicago Public Schools (CPS) have announced they also won’t adhere to the court ruling, claiming they have the authority to defy the court order because its agreement with the Chicago Teachers Union guarantees masking.
“Masking and vaccination have been key parts of keeping the virus transmission low in our classrooms this school year and successfully allowed our faculty and students to safely teach and learn in person,” CPS said in a statement. “We will stay the course.”
Fortunately, more and more students across the country are getting wise to the unscientific and endless masking obedience scheme, with walkouts happening in high schools in blue states from Washington and Colorado to New York.
