Responding to warnings of a COVID resurgence from the White House and the Department of Health & Human Services, Senator Rand Paul accused Biden officials of engaging in “sensationalism”.
Appearing on Fox News, Paul accused his now arch nemesis Anthony Fauci, as well as HHS head Xavier Becerra of spreading doom without providing any empirical evidence.
“Omicron itself was about 90% less likely to put you in the hospital than the first variant,” Paul noted, adding “So if no one’s telling you any information, how can you make any judgment other than the emotionalism and the sensationalism of the government?”
Paul asserted that Americans should “discount” the warnings until some scientific grounding is provided.
Responding to Fauci’s push for yet more vaccinations, Paul asked “How come the flu vaccine changes every year and they’re not willing to change this vaccine?”
“Now, you might have me with an argument. I’ll listen to you if you tell me, ‘We’ve got a new vaccine that actually has something to do with the current virus,’” the Senator continued.
Host Jesse Watters noted that Fauci himself cannot shake COVID despite having five vaccinations, and that alone should lead Americans to ask questions.

As we highlighted earlier, Fauci acknowledged during an appearance on Fox News that while vaccines may protect from symptoms of the virus, they “don’t protect overly well” when it comes to transmission of COVID.
