Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) dressed down a reporter who asked if Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was afraid her “Fire Fauci” Act might anger China.
During the Tuesday press conference concerning Greene’s legislation, which seeks to reduce NIAID Director Anthony Fauci’s salary to $0 due to his foreknowledge of China’s probable role in the creation of Covid-19, Brooks took aim at a reporter who defended the Chinese Communist Party.

“You call it the China Virus. You suggest it’s a bio-weapon. There’s no evidence of any of that,” a Yahoo! News reporter told Greene. “And we’re also in the middle of a spate of attacks on Asian Americans aren’t you just feeding that pretty irresponsibly?”
After rebuking the reporter’s claims, Greene turned the mic over to Rep. Brooks, who proceeded to berate the reporter for attempting to lump the identity of Chinese Americans with that of Chi-Com followers.
“Chinese Americans are not necessarily members of the Chinese Communist Party,” Brooks told the reporter.
“Understand that the Chinese Communist Party rejects virtually every provision in what is know as our Bill of Rights,” he said.
“Recognize that the Chinese Communist Party does not believe in the kind of Republic that we believe in,” Brooks said.
“For you to associate the Chinese Communist Party to Chinese Americans as you have done, I would submit is egregious and wrong.”
