After being handed down a nearly $1 billion verdict on Wednesday in one of three Sandy Hook lawsuits he’s facing, Alex Jones made an appearance on Steve Bannon’s War Room to explain what comes next.
A far-left Media Matters writer documented segments of the interview on Twitter.
Jones explained he is broke and Infowars is bankrupt, telling Bannon, “This is a joke! It’s like if I have three gallons of blood in my body, or two gallons, they want five hundred gallons. So, when I laughed about it during the live verdict I wasn’t laughing at the travesty of justice, I wasn’t laughing at the tyranny, I was laughing at how ridiculous it is that if I have a thousand dollars in the bank and the court gives me a fine for a million dollars, I’m laughing because I don’t have it.”
Later, relaying a point he was barred from making due to the judge’s rules during the trial, Jones described to Bannon how he was attacked by Hillary Clinton and others over Sandy Hook just as Trump ran for president.
