The BBC had to backtrack after it described pro-Palestine demonstrations that took place in the UK over the weekend as “pro-Hamas” protests.
A BBC anchor was tasked with owning up to the network’s slanderous mischaracterization of the demonstrators, admitting it was “poorly phrased.”
“Now, before we go, earlier on BBC News, we reported on some of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations at the weekend,” the anchor says.
“We spoke about several demonstrations across Britain during which people voiced their backing for Hamas. We accept that this was poorly phrased and was a misleading description of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations. Now here’s the weather.”
The British network was slammed on social media by people claiming their disingenuous description of the protesters was deliberate.

It was not “poorly phrased” it was a deliberate smear and the BBC knows once they broadcast it the lie lives on indefinitely.
The @BBCNews are just following the Israeli playbook of smearing anyone who supports Palestinians as card carrying member of Hamas.

Poorly phrased, it was a damn right lie, from what I understand the number of pro Hamas supporters was minimal at best and inconsequential compared to the number of Palestinian supporters.
