CNN launched an all-out assault on Fox News host Tucker Carlson following his comments that viewers should publicly shame mask wearers.
During his monologue Monday night, Carlson said people who wear masks outside should be mocked, noting, “The rest of us should be snorting at them first, they’re the aggressors – it’s our job to brush them back and restore the society we were born in.”
“So the next time you see someone in a mask on the sidewalk or on the bike path, do not hesitate. Ask politely but firmly, ‘Would you please take off your mask? Science shows there is no reason for you to be wearing it. Your mask is making me uncomfortable,” he added.
The comments prompted CNN, displaying a banner reading “Dangerous Rhetoric,” to dedicate an entire segment toward attempting to deconstruct his arguments – despite acknowledging new CDC guidance recommending masks don’t need to be worn outdoors.
