Trump running mate J.D. Vance shut down CNN anchor Jake Tapper in his usual eloquent fashion by laying out the truth about CNN’s own fake news stories of Donald Trump and why the neocons targeted the former president.
Appearing as a guest on far-left CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s show State of the Union on Sunday, Vance gracefully neutralized attempts by a testy Tapper to corner him over Trump’s criticisms about his Democrat enemies and covering for former neocon officials who’ve turned on Trump.
Vance highlighted how these neocons turned against Trump during his first term after realizing they would be unable to steer the former president into manufactured wars, a notion Tapper rejected.
“So all ten people, including the former vice-president, uh, Mike Pence; all of these people have this horribly damaged worldview, and they’re all just going after Donald Trump because they want to send people into war. That’s really your argument?” Tapper asked.

Vance replied, “Absolutely, that is my argument!”
“These aren’t conservative Republicans who are concerned about Donald Trump?” Tapper asked.
Vance answered, “All of these people came into office thinking they could control Donald Trump when he said he wanted peace in the world.”
“When they found they couldn’t, they all turned on Donald Trump,” he added.
Vance went on to school Tapper over CNN’s lies about Trump over the years, including the Russia collusion hoax in 2016.
“Ask yourself a basic question about network integrity. You guys talked about the Russia hoax nonstop…” Vance began.

TAPPER: The FBI was investigating it and so we covered it.
VANCE: So, you took the words of unnamed FBI agents and put them on the network as if they were the gospel…A viewer of your network would have believed Trump and Putin would have conspired in 2016. That was totally and preposterously false.
TAPPER: What you just said was false…
VANCE: You covered it in a way that gave credence to anonymous sources and accusations. You did it yourself. Your network did it!
Overall, despite Tapper’s effort to outfox Vance, Trump’s VP pick once again came out on top against the media’s bad-faith line of questioning.
