Footage going viral online shows the moment a transgender Starbucks employee berated a customer for calling him by the wrong pronouns.
In a 56-second clip of the Sunday, April 30 incident circulating on social media seen over 3.3 million times, the employee repeatedly told a female customer she was being “transphobic.”
“You’re rude, don’t ever call me transphobic, ever. You do not know me,” the woman argued to the angry employee.
“You’re calling me a man, you’re being transphobic, Karen. Now get out,” the employee told the customer.
When the woman asked for a refund, the trans employee replied she’s not getting one and clapped his hands saying, “Now. Get. Out.”
“You’re actually trespassing now,” the male employee pretending to be a woman continued telling the female customer.
“Apparently we said something transphobic,” a confused man filming the confrontation uttered from behind the camera, at which point the trans Starbucks employee turned his attention to him, lunged toward him and took his camera, possibly assaulting him in the process.
The employee’s ungentlemanly behavior was roundly criticized, with many calling for Starbucks to fire him.

Starbucks, you need to fire that employee immediately! That’s assault among other things.

“Is this an acceptable way for staff to behave Starbucks UK?” asked anti-trans activist Oli London.
In an update Monday, Starbucks announced the angry man in question was no longer an employee.
“‘The licensee has confirmed that the partner (employee) no longer works at the company,” a Starbucks rep stated, according to the Daily Mail. “Starbucks has no tolerance for behaviour of this kind and we are very sorry for the experience that this customer had.”
