President Trump joined ABC News for an exclusive interview marking his 100th day in office on Tuesday, slamming mainstream media hacks, celebrating his administration’s accomplishments and detailing his MAGA agenda going forward.
Asked if “the reputation of the United States has gone down” since he’s been in office, the president said he believes it “has gone way up” and that America is “respected” once again following the disastrous Biden presidency where the nation’s leader “couldn’t walk up a flight of stairs” and “was grossly incompetent.”
“You knew it, I knew it and everybody knew it, but you guys didn’t want to write it because you’re fake news. And, by the way, ABC is one of the worst. I have to be honest with you,” Trump told ABC’s Terry Moran.

Continuing to berate the fake news journalist to his face, Trump said, “I don’t trust you,” when asked if he “trusts” Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Questioned about whether or not he has “one hundred percent confidence” in U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, POTUS said, “I don’t have a hundred percent confidence in anything… It’s a stupid question.”
“Only a liar would say, ‘I have a hundred percent confidence.’ I don’t have a hundred percent confidence that we’re going to finish this interview,” he told the reporter.

Regarding the Elon Musk-led DOGE audits and cuts, President Trump defended the operation and stated, “We also found tremendous waste, fraud and abuse. We found a lot of fraud, fraudulent things were taking place, and we ended that, and those people are going to be suffering because of it.”
Moran responded, “Just a legal note, fraud is a crime. There have been no referrals to the Justice Department on any of this.”
Trump pushed back, “Well you don’t know that, do you? How do you know that?”
“Have there been referrals? Are there criminal referrals?” asked the reporter.
The president added, “How would you know there were no referrals? I think there were referrals.”
Moran cut in, “There has been no investigation from the Justice Department.”
“How do you know that?” Trump shot back, with Moran responding, “I’m asking you sir.”
“No, you’re not asking me, you made a statement,” Trump noted.
When Moran changed his statement to a question, asking the president if there have been referrals, Trump stated, “Have there been? Yes, there have been… Of course there have been, take a look at some of these things that took place. Billions of dollars were given to people for no reason whatsoever.”
