An attorney representing President Donald Trump during his Senate impeachment trial singlehandedly destroyed a lie that has been woven into the anti-Trump narrative of media and Democrats alike.
During testimony defending the president, attorney David Schoen presented video evidence exculpating him from the lie that he called neo-Nazis and white supremacists that attended the Charlottesville protest “very fine people.”

Schoen proceeded to air footage of the president’s remarks that had already been shown by House impeachment managers, but this time with full context.
“This might be today the first time the news networks played those remarks in their context,” Schoen says.
