“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg accused Donald Trump’s HHS secretary pick Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. of “fat-shaming” Americans by telling them to slim down and eat healthier.

In a bizarre meltdown on Thursday, Goldberg claimed RFK was wrong to promote a healthy lifestyle instead of pharmaceuticals because some people, like herself, require weight-loss drugs to lose weight.

“This isn’t just about food. Sometimes people are born genetically larger,” Goldberg claimed.

“But I want to say this to…[RFK], because you’re setting folks up for shame. That’s what you’re trying…Maybe you don’t know you’re doing. I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt. I’m going to say you don’t know. You don’t realize what you do to people, when you say stuff like that, because it doesn’t work for everybody.”

“And I’m going to show you, sir, because I weighed close to 300 less than two years ago. And without the Mounjaro, this would not have happened,” she said while standing up.

“I try to tell everybody, ‘Listen, this worked for me. This may work for you all.'”

Goldberg went on claim RFK was “wrong on this” and that he shouldn’t “take it out of people’s hands if it can help.”

The View co-host’s freak-out came as RFK has said weight-loss drugs aren’t a substitute for a healthy lifestyle and exercise; however, on Thursday he made it clear as HHS secretary he would not target the anti-obesity drugs, known as GLP-1 inhibitors, saying they “have a place.”

While many are using GLP-1 medications to induce weight-loss, they’re primarily intended to treat diabetes by helping to regulate blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity.
