Former president Donald Trump vowed to close the southern border during a Q&A at a town hall in Michigan on Friday night.

Trump was in Warren, Michigan when he was asked a question by a young man who said he had been laid off from his job as an autoworker.

“My name is Nico,” the young man said.

“I’m from Plymouth, Michigan. Last week, I was laid off at Detroit Diesel. I was an assembler on the line, building diesel engines made in the USA. And my question is about immigration. Illegal Immigrants are hurting American workers like me who are just starting off. How will you stop this invasion?”

“Well, very easy,” Trump replied.  “We’re going to close the wall, and we’re going to close the border.”

Trump described how he built “hundreds of miles” of border wall and reduced immigration substantially, only for the Biden-Harris administration to reverse course and allow the entry of unprecedented numbers of illegal aliens.

“Now we have the worst numbers in the history of the world, not just this country,” Trump added.

“At least 21 million people came in during their term [Biden and Harris] and, as we just said, a lot of them are real bad people, real rough people, but they’re also taking a lot of jobs from Americans, probably happened with you. And the small number of jobs they created were all taken by illegal immigrants in the last short period of time. And we’re going to make that change.”

A newly released report from ICE reveals that 13,000 murderers, 15,000 rapists and 425,000 convicted criminals have been allowed into America since 2021 by the Biden-Harris administration. These migrants were apprehended at the border and then deliberately released into the US, pending a future court date.

These numbers only represent migrants who were apprehended then released. According to Fox’s Bill Melugin, nearly two million “got-aways”—migrants who evaded apprehension by Border Patrol—have crossed the border since 2021.
