“We’ll Die Slowly In History”: Crying Afghan Girl Tells The World “No One Cares About Us”

Tragic footage going viral online shows a sobbing young girl in Afghanistan telling the camera she feels as if her people are being left to die and that nobody cares about their fate.

“We don’t count because we were born in Afghanistan,” the crying young lady began. “I cannot help crying, I have to wipe my tears to be able to film this video. No one cares about us. We’ll die slowly in history. Isn’t it funny?”

An Iranian journalist named Masih Alinejad posted the video to Twitter on Friday, and by Monday the clip had been seen nearly 2 million times.

Alinejad announced Monday that she interviewed the young lady and will be posting the footage soon.

“I interviewed her today will post it very soon,” she wrote. “This time we cried together but she promised me to stay strong and powerful. She’s only 23 years old, full of pain and anger.”

Under Taliban rule, women cannot go to school and must be totally covered when in public among other oppressive religious rules.

In fact, CNN’s chief international correspondent Clarissa Ward was told to step aside because she’s a woman while she was reporting in Afghanistan on Monday.

Another woman, a journalist and women’s rights activist named Rana Yazdanparast, posted a video of her grieving over the Taliban’s takeover.

In Iran, a woman from Afghanistan was filled with tears as she yelled, “Taliban has ruined my homeland,” before allegedly being arrested for protesting.
