A 70-year-old woman was savagely beaten by an African-American woman on a bus in L.A. because she ‘looked Asian’ in yet another example of how the media’s narrative on the issue has been proven spectacularly wrong.
The attack happened when the victim, a Mexican woman known as ‘Becky’ – was exiting a Metro bus on her way to a local grocery store.
The attacker yelled anti-Asian racial slurs as she beat Becky repeatedly around the head, causing the victim to suffer a concussion, a broken nose and severe bruising.
Becky’s son described the assailant as a “black girl” and noted that during the attack, no one tried to intervene. “Nobody would help, not even the bus driver,” he said.
A 23-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on felony battery charges and faces additional hate crime charges. There appeared to be no motive for the attack aside from Becky being mistaken for being Asian.
For several months, the media has been spinning a narrative that the surge in violent hate crimes targeting Asians is the fault of “white supremacy” and Donald Trump accurately stating that coronavirus came from China.
In reality, in virtually every single recent high profile case of Asian-Americans being violently attacked in public, the culprit has been black.
Crime stats also show white people are underrepresented per capita in attacks against Asians.
As the Washington Examiner highlights, citing FBI statistics, whereas whites comprise 62% of the population, they committed 24% of crimes against Asians in 2018.
In comparison, blacks, who comprise 13% of the population, committed 27.5% of all violent crimes against Asian Americans in 2018.
The media’s fake narrative on who is responsible crimes targeting Asians directly led last week to a 37-year-old Korean man trying to rape a woman at gunpoint in Lake Forest, California after he falsely believed her to be white.
According to authorities, the attack was “in retaliation for the rise in hate crimes against Asian people.”
