A federal worker says she’s going to retire her 20-year job with the Treasury Department after Joe Biden ordered vaccines for all government employees.
In a Tik Tok video announcing her response to Biden’s speech Thursday, in which he mandated vaccines for all federal employees and private sector companies with more than 100 employees, Felicia Kennedy-Dowe revealed she’s filing for early retirement, declaring she won’t be coerced into getting vaccinated.
“I work for the federal government. I work for the Treasury Department and the president just came on TV and said that if you want to work for the federal government then you have to be vaccinated. It’s like a requirement now,” Kennedy-Dowe explained.
“So my answer to that is: now I don’t work for the federal government no more. Now I got to put in my early retirement paper so I could get out of there – because I’m not getting the vaccine!”
“You’re not gonna make get a vaccine. You’re not gonna bully me into getting a vaccine. You’re not going to bait me into getting a vaccine. I am not getting a vaccine.”
“So, in about 3 months I will not wear this anymore,” she says, displaying a lanyard.
We’ll see in the days to come how many other federal workers feel the same way.
