The American Medical Association (AMA) penned a letter Monday to the Department of Justice demanding investigations and prosecutions of any news outlets or individuals who expose radical gender surgeries in woke hospitals across America.
In its letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, the AMA, along with the American Association of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association, who represent “over 270,000 physicians and 220 children’s hospitals across the country,” claimed reporting on gender surgeries and procedures is an “intentional campaign of disinformation” that’s causing providers to be “targeted and threatened.”
“These coordinated attacks threaten federally protected rights to health care for patients and their families,” the letter states.
“The attacks are rooted in an intentional campaign of disinformation, where a few high-profile users on social media share false and misleading information targeting individual physicians and hospitals, resulting in a rapid escalation of threats, harassment, and disruption of care across multiple jurisdictions.”

After explaining that it appealed to Big Tech to censor critics of its gender procedures, the AMA called on the DOJ to “investigate and prosecute” anybody “responsible” for exposing its gender practices.
“Our organizations have called on technology companies to do more to prevent this practice on digital platforms, and we now urge your office to take swift action to investigate and prosecute all organizations, individuals, and entities responsible,” the letter reads.
As I told @IngrahamAngle tonight: "I have a message for Attorney General Merrick Garland: you can threaten us; you can mobilize the FBI against us; you can drag us out of our homes in a pre-dawn raid. But we are not going to stop reporting on radical gender surgeries on minors." pic.twitter.com/Mq1T0QHfyM

The AMA reiterated it’s “dedicated to the health and well-being of children and adolescents” which it claims includes providing “gender-affirming care.”
The AMA’s panicked tone of the letter makes sense when one considers the remarks of a Vanderbilt University Medical Center physician, who recently said during a conference that extreme gender surgeries like hysterectomies, mastectomies, and vaginoplasties were a “big money maker” for the hospital, especially because they require a “lot of follow-ups.”
The association’s claim that gender surgeries i.e. “gender-affirming care” are predicated on the “well-being of children and adolescents” is at odds with many former transgender individuals who claimed the radical mutilation surgeries and hormone treatments “hurt” them.

Given the DOJ’s track record of targeting anti-critical race theory parents, Jan. 6 protesters, and anti-abortion activists, it’s not outside the realm of possibility that the department will soon kowtow to the AMA and go after critics of gender surgeries as well.
