Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has been identified as the “foreign policy adviser” named in the indictment of Hillary Clinton’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann, Fox News reported.
According to the indictment, Sussmann “exchanged emails with the Clinton Campaign’s campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor [Jake Sullivan] concerning the Russian Bank-1 allegations that Sussmann had recently shared” with an unnamed reporter.

Sullivan served as Clinton’s senior campaign adviser during her 2016 presidential election bid.
Attorney John Durham’s indictment alleges Sussmann told then-FBI General Counsel James Baker he wasn’t working “for any client” when he called a September 2016 meeting where he provided evidence of a purported secret communications channel between then-candidate Donald Trump and the Russian government.
But the indictment shows Sussmann actually billed the Clinton campaign for that meeting, and that the so-called evidence he turned over to the FBI was false.
Biden’s deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre didn’t offer any comment when asked about the Sullivan revelation during a press briefing on Tuesday.
“I don’t know anything about what you’re you’re just mentioning,” Jean-Pierre said. “So I have to talk to our team.”

In addition to Sussmann, Durham also charged Russian analyst Igor Danchenko earlier this month – who is accused of being the primary sub-source in the Steele dossier – with five counts of making false statements to the FBI.
Danchenko is due in court on Wednesday.
