The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) worked with Homeland Security to round up criminal illegal aliens in Houston’s Colony Ridge development on Monday morning.
Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on 𝕏, “Colony Ridge is being targeted today. Texas DPS Troopers & Special Agents are assisting Homeland Security Investigations, with an operation in Colony Ridge this morning. They are targeting criminals & illegal immigrants. I have worked with Tom Homan on this for months.”

Texas DPS Troopers & Special Agents are assisting Homeland Security Investigations, with an operation in Colony Ridge this morning.
They are targeting criminals & illegal immigrants.
I have worked with Tom Homan on this for months.
The 33,000-acre development is nearly the size of Washington, D.C., housing an estimated 75,000 illegal aliens in the sprawling area just 30 miles north of Houston.
In September 2023, Republicans in the Texas legislature voted unanimously to pass a resolution calling for a special session to be convened to discuss the sprawling illegal alien settlement.
In March 2024, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton launched a lawsuit against the developers of Colony Ridge for “deceptive trade practices, real estate transaction fraud and other state and federal law violations.”
The DOJ also filed a lawsuit against the developers last month, accusing them of engaging in a large-scale “illegal land sales scheme” using false statements and “predatory” owner-to-buyer loans to allow illegals to buy “flooding-prone home building lots despite extremely high interest, foreclosure and property-flipping rates.”
Local officials in Liberty County were not told about the raid beforehand, according to Liberty County Judge Jay Knight, who said, “Would’ve been nice if the government let us know. I wasn’t informed about anything. It’s news to me.”
The operation was likely kept a secret due to several individuals leaking information about ICE raids to illegal alien gang members in order to sabotage the Trump administration’s deportation efforts.
Daily Wire journalist Spencer Lindquist pointed out on 𝕏 that the Houston Chronicle blamed the deportation raid on “right-wing conspiracy theories” when it’s well documented that the development is full of illegals, with many connected to Mexican drug cartels.
