Holiday shoppers in California are being encouraged to report stores that don’t comply with a law requiring them to have a “gender-neutral children section.”
California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a press release on Tuesday offering “tips for safe shopping” and a list of illicit practices to “be on the lookout for.”
“I urge Californians to know their rights, familiarize themselves with shopping pitfalls, and report scams and illegal activity to my office and local law enforcement agencies,” AG Bonta stated.

One illegal activity AG Bonta wants to hear about is department stores and large retailers failing to maintain gender-neutral sections for minors.
On Jan. 1, AB-1084 became law in the state of California.
AB-1084 stipulates that any retail department store which is “physically located in California that has a total of 500 or more employees across all California retail department store locations that sells childcare items or toys to maintain a gender neutral section or area, to be labeled at the discretion of the retailer, in which a reasonable selection of the items and toys for children that it sells shall be displayed, regardless of whether they have been traditionally marketed for either girls or for boys.”
Businesses that run afoul of the law can be fined up to $250 for a first offense and up to $500 for subsequent violations.
“By requiring large retailers to maintain a gender-neutral section, AB 1084 makes it more difficult for these retailers to engage in gender-based pricing discrimination and reduces the imposition of gender stereotypes on children,” AG Bonta asserted.
“If you do not see an adequate gender-neutral product section in a large retail department store in California that you believe is covered by this law, you may take pictures, document, and file a complaint with our office.”
Citizen journalist Amy Reichert blasted double standards in California’s legal system whereby “thieves get a pass, but businesses are punished for not being woke enough.”
California Attorney General @RobBonta wants holiday shoppers to SPY on businesses & report stores without gender-neutral kids' sections. Fines of $250 for the 1st offense, $500 for repeats. “Anarcho-tyranny perfectly describes California under woke leftists like Attorney General Rob Bonta and Governor Gavin Newsom. They refuse to enforce laws against real criminals, giving thieves a free pass, while punishing law-abiding businesses for not having gender-neutral toy sections,” Reichert told InfoWars.
“Asking holiday shoppers to spy on stores is peak authoritarian absurdity. While the rest of the country moves toward common sense, California has become an Idiocracy, all in a freak reaction to Trump.”
InfoWars has been documenting the surge of crime across California, including carjackings, ‘street takeovers,’ smash-and-grab loot mobs, home invasions, and physical attacks on innocent victims.
