The Democrat-led Jan. 6 Committee’s “star” witness Cassidy Hutchinson called the committee “BS” in a text message obtained by The Daily Caller.

Hutchinson sent the text message on Feb. 1 to a conservative activist connected to the First Amendment Fund, a group started by the American Conservative Union (ACU) that helps Trump officials pay for Jan. 6 lawyers.

ACU chairman Matt Schlapp claimed Thursday that Hutchinson approached CPAC for financial assistance through the First Amendment Fund, but he didn’t help her because he said she was passing along White House “hallway gossip as fact.”

In the text message, Hutchinson explained that she was subpoenaed by the Jan. 6 committee and wanted to “figure out” her “options” to deal with the committee’s “BS.”

“Do you happen to know a First Amendment fund POC I could reach out to? I was subpoenaed in early Nov., but the committee waited to serve me until last week (after Ben’s deposition),” Hutchinson wrote.

“I had to accept service because the U.S. Marshalls came to my apartment last Wednesday, but I haven’t made contact with the Committee. I’m just on a tight timeline and just trying to figure out what my options are to deal with this bs,” Hutchinson added.

The Daily Caller reported that Hutchinson had sent another text message to the conservative activist that she did not want to be “unnecessarily elevated” by the Jan. 6 committee.

Hutchinson had made several outlandish claims during her testimony to the Jan. 6 committee last week, including the hearsay claim that former President Donald Trump attempted to commandeer his limo to turn back to the Capitol building when refused by the Secret Service.

Hutchinson’s assertion was refuted in real time by the very Secret Service agent she said she heard the story from.

In fact, video evidence shows Trump wasn’t even in the presidential limo on January 6, but an SUV.

Hutchinson had also testified that she wrote a note at the direction of then-Chief of Staff Mark Meadows on Jan. 6 that said, “Anyone who entered the Capitol without proper authority should leave immediately.”

But former lawyer Eric Herschmann claimed he had actually written the letter, not Hutchinson.

“All sources with direct knowledge and law enforcement have and will confirm that it was written by Mr. Herschmann,” a spokesman for Herschmann said.
