Speaking this week with Alex Thompson, the co-author of CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s new book “Original Sin,” the outlet held a panel discussion focusing on Joe Biden’s dwindling mental capacity during the 2024 presidential campaign.
CNN host Abby Phillip said the fact that the Biden campaign held a “fake town hall” event was “not actually the worst part,” because the staged discussion was so bad they couldn’t even use it to cut an advertisement.

Thompson said, “Other campaigns have used fake town halls,” but “those town halls are usually in addition to real town halls,” noting, “Joe Biden was doing neither.”
“This fake town hall was in order to film it so they could make it into campaign commercials,” he continued. “They filmed it in Delaware with supporters. But Joe Biden at this point, this is in the Spring of 2024, Joe Biden’s town hall which was closed to press was so bad that campaign officials determined it was not usable for a campaign commercial.”
The book’s co-author said some staffers blamed the failure on Biden being “incoherent” and being unable to “articulate his thoughts in a pithy or even semi-normal way,” while others claimed, “the lighting was bad.”
Conservative CNN commentator Scott Jennings scoffed at the notion that the Biden campaign would have spent millions of dollars on a fake town hall and failed to get the lighting right.
“That was one of the excuses,” Thompson chuckled.
Phillip chimed in, asking, “How many people were aware of things like that but said nothing?”
It’s bizarre to see the mainstream media suddenly in awe of Biden’s senility when millions of Americans and all of the top alternative media outlets sounded the alarm about him being unfit for office every day leading up to the 2024 election.
