Ex-State Dept. Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland Claims Musk & X Are Putin’s ‘New Powerful Tool’ For Interfering In US Election

'We have Elon Musk talking directly to the Kremlin and ensuring that every time the Russians put out something like this it gets 5 million views,' Nuland claimed without proof.

Warmongering former State Department Under Secretary of State Victoria Nuland told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow on Monday that Russia is allegedly interfering in U.S. elections and that his newest “tool” is the social media platform X.

Maddow told Nuland, who is married to neocon foreign policy architect Robert Kagan, that Russia interfered in the last two elections “to try and get Trump into the White House.”

The MSNBC anchor asked the ex-State Dept. official to assess the magnitude of Russian interference in the 2024 presidential election compared to 2016 and 2020.

Nuland responded, “He’s [Putin] at it again. This time he’s not even trying to hide his hand, and he has far more sophisticated tools. You know, his AI is better so he can make these fake videos. He has done things like spend $10 million trying to buy American influencers and get them parroting his lines and not even know it’s happening.”

“But, he’s also got a brand new very, very powerful tool which is Elon Musk and X,” she added. “You know, in 2020 the social media companies worked hard with the U.S. government to try to do content moderation, to try to catch this stuff as it was happening. But, this time we have Elon Musk talking directly to the Kremlin and ensuring that every time the Russians put out something like this it gets 5 million views on X before anybody can catch it, so it’s quite dangerous.”

Of course, Nuland is likely covering her own behind as she helped the U.S. launch a coup in Ukraine in 2014, played a key role in the nation’s war with Russia, and tried playing down the fact that America had secret biolaboratories conducting shady research across Ukraine.

The claim that Russia is disseminating AI videos to help Trump win the election stems from a recent Microsoft report alleging they identified “Russian actors” sharing fake footage portraying Democrat presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz in a bad light.

The report admitted the majority of the AI-generated videos receive little engagement, aside from one anti-Walz video that was viewed over 5 million times.

Nuland failed to mention the Microsoft report also found China allegedly went after Republican candidates and congressional members who have denounced the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

The allegation that Musk is allowing Russian disinformation to spread on X because he’s had contact with the nation’s President Vladimir Putin came from a recent Wall Street Journal article.

Musk sarcastically responded to Nuland’s accusation, writing, “Shocker.”

Deep State actors and their media operatives are recycling their lame “Russian interference” claims ahead of next week’s presidential election.
