Over 60% of likely voters blame Kamala Harris for the chaos at the southern border, according to a New York Times / Siena poll.
When likely voters were asked, “How much blame, if any, do you think Kamala Harris as sitting vice president should receive for… problems at the border?” 63% said the Vice President should received “a lot of blame” or “some blame.”
Just 16% of likely voters said they placed “no blame at all” on Harris, and just 7% of likely voters said they believed the border is “not an issue.”
The Vice President’s record on the border was a key issue during her televised debate with Donald Trump on Tuesday. Trump ended the debate by reminding viewers that Kamala Harris has had three-and-a-half years to fix the crisis at the border.
“So, she just started by saying she’s going to do this. She’s going to do that. She’s going to do all these wonderful things. Why hasn’t she done it They’ve had three-and-a-half years to fix the border.”
Joe Biden appointed Harris as a so-called “border czar” in 2021 to address issues of border security and specifically to stem migration. Despite the Vice President’s widely being referred to as “border czar,” Harris and the mainstream media have done their best to deny that she ever received the appointment.
