Woke royals Meghan and Harry called on Spotify to make “changes” to its platform to address COVID “misinformation” following several musicians protesting Joe Rogan’s podcast.
Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry, who have a lucrative $25 million deal with Spotify, called criticized the music streaming service allowing “disinformation” to continue, presumably referring to Rogan’s podcast.
“Since the inception of Archewell, we have worked to address the real-time global misinformation crisis,” the woke royals’ statement read. “Hundreds of millions of people are affected by the serious harms of rampant mis- and disinformation every day.”

“Last April, our co-founders [Meghan and Harry] began expressing concerns to our partners at Spotify about the all too real consequences of COVID-19 misinformation on its platform,” the statement continued. “We have continued to express our concerns to Spotify to ensure changes to its platform are made to help address this public health crisis.”
The wayward royal pair are the latest to take aim at Spotify over its decision to keep Rogan after singer Neil Young pulled his music from the platform in protest, with singer Joni Mitchell joining him in solidarity.
Duke and Duchess of Sussex founded the “Archewell” media project in 2020, which in part aims to reinforce approved mainstream narratives.
And despite their cushy deal with Spotify, only one podcast — a holiday special uploaded in 2020 — has been posted by the royals on Spotify under their Archewell Audio brand, with nothing else released in 2021.
Harry notably described “vaccine misinformation” as a “digital pandemic” during a virtual address at the “VAX LIVE: The Concert to Reunite the World” even in Los Angeles last May.
“The vaccine must be distributed to everyone everywhere. We cannot rest or truly recover until there is fair distribution to every corner of the world,” he added.
