The US migrant population has grown to such an extent that if all migrants voted, they could swing 12 states to the Democrats, according to a new report.
The new report from the non-partisan Center for Immigration Studies makes clear the threat posed to election integrity by the presence of over 20 million voting-age migrants in the country.
“Census Bureau data collected earlier this year indicates that there are 23.2 million voting-age non-citizens in the country, roughly half of whom are illegal immigrants,” states the report by the group’s research chief, Steven Camarota.
“Our analysis does show that in a dozen states… the non-citizen population in 2024 is potentially large enough to exceed the state winner’s margin in 2020.
“Of course, just because it is mathematically possible for non-citizens to decide a state’s presidential outcome does not mean it will actually happen, but it illustrates the potential seriousness of the non-citizen voting issue.”
Voting by non-citizens has become a major flashpoint in this year’s election, with one side claiming non-citizens regularly vote in US elections and the other denying it vehemently.
In a clear sign that it does happen, a Chinese citizen was arrested and charged for voting illegally in Michigan.
A clerk alerted officials about the illegal vote, which took place in Ann Arbor on 27 October. After an investigation. The male non-citizen was charged with “unauthorized elector attempting to vote” and “making a false affidavit for the purpose of securing voter registration.”
Officials said the incident was “an extremely isolated and rare event.”
The defendant, a Chinese national and student at the University of Michigan, registered to vote on Sunday 27 October. He established his residency in Ann Arbor with his student ID and other documentation, and he signed a document vouching for his US citizenship.
After casting his vote, the student contacted the city clerk and attempted to retract his vote.
The vote cannot be retracted, since tabulators do not track votes back to the individuals who cast them.
The governor’s office has now opened an independent investigation into the matter.
The real question is whether migrants will vote in the “right places,” in numbers large enough to overturn the narrow margins of Republican candidates.
The Center for Immigration Studies report states that “in Georgia, 1.5 percent of adult non-citizens in 2024 would need to vote to equal the state winner’s margin of victory in the last presidential election. In Arizona, 1.71 percent of non-citizens would have to vote to potentially change the outcome.”
In the longer term, if Kamala Harris wins and enacts a mass amnesty, as she’s promised she’ll do, electing a Republican president could become all but impossible.
In his recent interview with Joe Rogan, Trump’s VP pick JD Vance said America could become a one-party state like California if today’s migrants receive amnesty.
