The sycophantic Democrat cheerleaders in the mainstream media are now turning on Joe Biden over his radical border policies after 50 smuggled illegal aliens were found dead in a semi-truck in San Antonio, Texas on Monday.
Pundits on MSNBC and CNN are now calling out the Biden administration for the influx of illegally smuggled migrants crossing into the U.S. from the southern border.
“Democrats will have to reassess because some of them may not want to use the word ‘crisis,’ but that’s exactly what it is down along the border when you have Customs and Border Patrol having 7,000 and 8,000 encounters a day on the border. That is a crisis,” MSNBC contributor Willie Geist said Tuesday.

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough urged Democrats to “get their arms around” the fact that the border has collapsed.
“We have to have laws at the border that can be both humane but also that can support legal, safe immigration,” said Scarborough, adding, “We’ve got to do a better job along the border.”
BBC’s Katty Kay agreed, noting “it’s really bad” at the border because of Biden’s “open-door policy.”
“I was down in Arizona recently, and everybody is talking about the situation, and many actually talking about the tragedy of the situation of women getting raped as they come across, of children getting separated from their parents, of children getting raped as they come across, of the people smugglers really taking advantage of what’s seen as an open-door policy,” Kay said. “And the message gets back very fast from the U.S. to other countries that at the moment it’s easier to get in, which seems to be why we’re seeing more people coming across the border.”

“There was a thinking at one point that this was just COVID, and that COVID had exacerbated the economic situation in those countries,” she continued, “but that doesn’t seem to be the case because people are stilling coming in huge numbers and we’re ending up with this awful tragedy of what’s happened in this truck of people just being piled in, and bodies– and it seems like there were children in that truck, too. And you’re right, the administration has to do something about this.”
Meanwhile on CNN, reporter Priscilla Alvarez admitted that human smuggling along the border is happening “more often” under Joe Biden.
“Human smugglers often use rigs to move and transport migrants, in fact, it has been happening more often along the U.S.-Mexico border,” Alvarez said on “New Day” Tuesday.
“There is an increasing number of people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border over the last several months,” she added.

Despite the record-high illegal border crossings and the smuggling tragedy that took place in San Antonio, Joe Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Tuesday insisted that the southern border “is closed.”
“And we’re focused on continuing our historic actions to disrupt dangerous smuggling networks,” she said. “But the fact of the matter is the border is closed.”

When asked by a reporter to address the horrific story during his visit in Madrid, Biden simply walked away — his trademark move.

Biden later released a statement shaming Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) for “political grandstanding” after the governor blamed the tragedy on Biden’s open border policies, and also vowed to go after the “multi-billion dollar criminal smuggling industry preying on migrants and leading to far too many innocent deaths.”
San Antonio firefighters at the scene of the tragedy described a horrific scene of “stacks of bodies,” including children, found in the trailer that were “hot to the touch,” without signs of water or air-conditioning in the lorry.
