Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna (R) railed against the DOJ’s release of the Jeffrey Epstein files Thursday, arguing a New York Post story indicated the document dump would include the deceased pedophile’s phone book, much of which has already been made public.
“I nor the task force were given or reviewed the Epstein documents being released today…” Luna remarked ahead of the file release in an X post Thursday afternoon.
“A NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein’s phonebook. THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR instead of leaking old info to press.”
In an article Thursday, The Post wrote: “The Justice Department is preparing to release notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s personal address book Thursday, The Post has learned,” adding through an unnamed source the release would likely be a “disappointment” to many.
The Post notes Gawker published Epstein’s 97-page address book in 2015.
The botched document release comes as Rep. Luna, the chairwoman of the Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, announced at a dinner Wednesday she would “be investigating everything that’s being released and declassified from the White House.”

Meanwhile, the document release faced further delays after US Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday instructed FBI Director Kash Patel to investigate a New York FBI field office that had “never disclosed the existence” of additional files.
“By 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, February 28, the FBI will deliver the full and complete Epstein files to my office, including all records, documents, audio and video recordings and materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and his clients, regardless of how such information was obtained,” Bondi wrote.
“There will be no withholdings or limitations to my or your access,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration was criticized for releasing Phase One of the Epstein files to several conservative social media influencers, instead of publishing them online for public review.
