A 1-year-old orphan is fighting for her life following a deadly collision with a illegal alien suspect who was driving drunk at approximately 100 miles per hour in Georgia, according to authorities.

The child’s parents, identified as Kadrian Harris, 23, and Malik Henderson, 23, were killed in the horrifying wreck, which unfolded on September 7 in Rome, located in Floyd County.

An officer on patrol observed a Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye flying down local roads at an “extremely high rate of speed” and attempted to pursue but was quickly outpaced by the 797-horsepower muscle car, the Rome News-Tribune reports.

“Moments later another officer, traveling south on Riverside Parkway, spotted the Charger at a distance, still speeding eastbound on Turner McCall Boulevard,” the Rome Police Department explained in a statement.

“The police officer activated their emergency lights and attempted to follow the Charger only to find that Garcia had crashed head-on into the Honda Accord driven by Harris.”

Authorities estimate 30-year-old Omar Alejandro Garcia, a Mexican citizen illegally present in the U.S., was traveling around 100 mph at the time of the crash.

Baby Riley Harris was airlifted to Children’s Scottish Rite Hospital in serious condition, while her parents did not survive.

Garcia was hospitalized with injuries but was later booked into Floyd County Jail on a slew of charges, including two counts of felony vehicular homicide, one count of serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, driving without a license, fleeing/attempting to elude, reckless driving, and driving too fast for conditions.

Additionally, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has lodged a detainer against Garcia.

Garcia has been arrested at least four times since 2012 and was convicted of multiple offenses in 2023, law enforcement sources revealed to NewsNation correspondent Ali Bradley.

Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), in whose district the crash occurred, weighed in on the tragedy, vowing to “never stop fighting to secure our borders and to ensure tragedies like this one are never able to happen again in America.”

“Now, the child who miraculously survived this crash will grow up without its parents. An absolutely heartbreaking reality.”

An investigation and legal proceedings are ongoing.
