The UN agency that has decreed itself to be the overlooker of global migration has demanded that the European Union should be making arrangements to have all migrants vaccinated against COVID, regardless of their legal status.
“When we have now news about a vaccine, the challenge that EU European member states are confronted with, is to guarantee access to the vaccine to everybody that is in your territory, not just your citizens, but also all the refugees, displaced people and migrants that are in Europe,” stated Antonio Vitorino, the director-general of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
“It is for the sake of their safety and well-being of the entire host communities’ in the countries taking them in,” Vitorino claimed in a speech to the European Parliament last week.
“No-one is safe until everybody is safe,” he continued, claiming that the virus is “exploding” where there are increasing numbers of migrants.
Legal residents of European countries and beyond are being prepared for a ‘new normal’ where to integrate into society one must have proof of vaccination.
It doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to visualise a future where all travel is dependent upon vaccination status.
