The mainstream media’s collective decision to start reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story exposes their 18-month “diversion operation” meant to cover it up, says Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson (R).
“I don’t know what the Justice Department is going to do. I do know that I don’t trust the Justice Department,” Johnson told “Sunday Morning Futures” host Maria Bartiromo.
“And I think really what The New York Times and The Washington Post articles prove is how complicit they have been and continue to be in the coverup…the media’s been caught in a coverup, they’re caught with their lies.”
Johnson explained how the media was constructing a “limited hangout” to drip feed the information about Hunter they want to be known in case he’s indicted in the future.
“What you do, and this is an intelligence community technique, is you engage in what they call a limited hangout,” Johnson said. “You let out just enough just enough information, just enough truth, to try to get you by the moment. We can’t allow our intelligence agencies, Department of Justice, the FBI, or the media to get away with this.”
“This is unbelievable corruption at the highest levels of government,” he continued. “And with our media, we’re all being snookered by them and this has been a massive diversion operation to try to get the American public’s attention away from their wrongdoing, their lies, their coverup.”
Johnson, along with Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), had released a Senate report in 2020 detailing Hunter Biden’s conflicts of interest related to Burisma in Ukraine while his father Joe Biden was vice president.
“We had Treasury documents that showed a very troubling number of wire transfers that detailed out a vast web of foreign financial entanglements,” Johnson said.
“But that was all ignored by the press. They looked at our report in September 2020 and just shrugged, ‘oh, no evidence of criminal activity here, no evidence that Joe Biden is in all this’, and they covered it up. And as a result, they got Joe Biden elected, now they continue to cover up for him,” he noted, adding the “FBI was complicit as well in the coverup.”
This comes amid rumors the DOJ may soon indict Hunter Biden, as the White House has signaled that a pardon for Hunter is not off the table.
