A deliveryman in Philadelphia was forced to defend himself with a concealed carry weapon Saturday after several armed assailants attempted to rob him.
Ring camera surveillance footage shows the man arriving at his home in the Mayfair neighborhood to drop food off to his family as three dark figures approached him from behind.
The man fortunately managed to unholster a concealed pistol and fired a number of shots at the bandits, who fled in a hurry.

WPVI 6ABC has more:
Police say the armed men approached the victim and demanded money.
The victim then reportedly told the suspects the money was in his car.
While the suspects were looking through the victim’s car for cash, he pulled out his gun and fired, according to police.
Neighbors told local media they believed would-be robbers were staking out the home and waited for the delivery driver to arrive.
“Upon coming out the rear door in the back alleyway… he was confronted by three black males at least two of whom were pointing guns at him demanding money,” remarked Philadelphia Police Inspector D. F. Pace.
In footage of the incident, the crooks can be heard screaming, “Help!” as they fled in terror.
WPVI notes one of the robbers shot by the driver later died at a hospital, and another was critically wounded. The third assailant was reportedly arrested by police.
Police said two guns were found at the scene, and noted the delivery driver had a permit for his weapon.
The case is being highlighted as a clear example of why firearms are needed for self-defense, especially in the wake of the Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal.
