An ATV rider has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly crashed into a man on purpose during an altercation at a gas station in California, according to reports.
Weeks ago, authorities finally tracked down a suspect they believe “tried to kill” Ariel Cruz, 30, back on February 11.
Shortly after the Super Bowl ended that night, Cruz left his apartment to buy beer at a Gulf station in San Francisco.
While walking to the shop, he encountered a group of men on dirt bikes and ATVs, one of whom reportedly punched him in the face for unspecified reasons.
Footage of an ensuing showdown involving Cruz, two San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) officers, and multiple hooligans, has been circulating on social media.

Cruz can be seen waving his arms and apparently trying to fight some of the riders near the gas pumps while cops brandish batons and give orders that are ignored.
At one point, Cruz appears to punch one of the dirt bike riders.
Suddenly, another rider on a 4-wheeler accelerates and rams into Cruz, throwing him against concrete bollards.
The suspect then flees the scene on foot.
“I just remember my head was split open. I had staples in my head. My knee was really inflamed. I couldn’t walk on it. My lip was busted on the inside and outside. I had like a slash on my lip,” Cruz told KTVU.
SFPD finally arrested 31-year-old Julian Alberto Ulloa Gomez on Aug. 29 and charged him with attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer, and filing a false police report.
Authorities had to escort Cruz home following the first hearing due to concerns for his safety after a large crowd of Ulloa Gomez’s “supporters” showed up to court.
The next hearing is reportedly scheduled for Sept. 19, 2025.
