A suspect is facing a slew of charges after he allegedly terrorized the driver of a Tesla on a Utah highway this weekend, according to reports.

The shocking incident unfolded at around 10 a.m. on Friday in Tooele County.

The Utah Highway Patrol (UHP) was alerted about a “reckless driver” heading west on I-80, after multiple motorists reported a gold sedan “road raging with a black Tesla.”

One witness told authorities the vehicles were traveling up to 120 mph during the confrontation.

Troopers pulled over the Tesla and questioned the driver who told them the suspect in the gold sedan had attempted to ram him and run him off the road.

“The (Tesla) driver admitted to driving over 100 mph and that the gold sedan was still following him. He stated he was attempting to get away from the suspect vehicle,” UHP explained in an affidavit reviewed by KSL.

“He stated he attempted to exit, wait a few minutes and get back on the freeway. He stated that after he got back on the freeway the gold sedan was waiting for him. The driver stated that the suspect intentionally tried to push into his lane and push him off of the roadway.”

Witnesses told police that the driver of the Tesla was clearly trying to escape from the suspect in the gold sedan, who was blocking other vehicles, swerving dangerously, and tailgating at very high speeds.

UHP eventually pulled the gold sedan over and discovered the driver had a suspended license, multiple outstanding warrants, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

He was identified as 27-year-old Oscar Fayani.

Fayani was booked into Tooele County Jail on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and reckless driving.

“All of the counts come with road rage penalty enhancements if convicted. He was also arrested for investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia,” KSL reports.
