A CNN panel looked somber and stone-faced after guest Marc Lotter pointed out a major difference between Democrat early voting compared to 2020 signals a bad omen for Kamala Harris.

“The math doesn’t work. The Democrats are down 1.7 million early votes in the battleground states in urban areas,” Lotter noted Monday night. “They are down 1.4 million votes in the battleground states among women voters.”

“Rural voters have overperformed early by 300,000,” he continued, noting that “Democrats have to win their races early. Republicans generally win them on election day.”

“The margins don’t add up right now for the Democrats in any of these battleground states.”

According to a Trump campaign source, “new and infrequent voters” are turning out more for Republicans than Democrats in early voting within battleground states like Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada and Pennsylvania, a historically unusual occurrence.

“In those states, Democrats have more than 1.4 million voters who voted before Election Day in 2020 or 2022 but have not voted yet” — despite early voting being closed in nearly every state — “and many not having even requested a mail ballot,” a source told the New York Post, suggesting that Democrat turnout might not be as strong this time around.

CNN’s Van Jones likewise expressed his worries over these reports on Monday, claiming the data he saw, particularly in the key state of Pennsylvania, has made him “nervous.”

“What has you feeling good about Pennsylvania, and what is making you nervous about Pennsylvania?” CNN anchor Kate Bolduan asked Jones.

“Well, I’m just nervous all the time,” Jones answered. “So I don’t feel good about nothin’, and I’m not gonna feel good about nothin’ ’til it’s over. I’m worried.”

“Philadelphia is where we’ve got to run up a big margin, but Philly overall has been trending down, not in terms of going toward the Republicans, just people not getting out to vote.”

“It’s a bigger, tougher fight in Philly to get that vote count up than it has been in the past. That has me worried,” Jones added.

Meanwhile, voter turnout on Election Day is reportedly on track to exceed that of the 2020 election.
