Joe Biden lashed out at the American people for blaming him for skyrocketing inflation and gas prices instead of Russia, claiming “it’s simply not true” he had anything to do with it.
“I’m sick of this stuff! The American people think the reason for inflation is the government spending more money. Simply. Not. True,” Biden fumed on Friday.

“Make no mistake, inflation is largely the fault of Putin. I love Republicans saying it’s Biden’s gas pipeline. Biden said he’s going to stop the Keystone pipeline, and I did, and that’s the reason prices went up…Give me a break,” Biden added.

But as the following graph highlights, inflation far outpaced wage growth starting about the time Biden passed his $1.9 “American Rescue Plan” spending package in March 2021 with the help of Federal Reserve money-printing.
From the time Biden's $1.9T spending bill passed in March – which Obama economist Larry Summers called "the least responsible economic policy in 40 years" – inflation has outpaced wage growth, giving Americans a pay-cut.

In fact, inflation rose by 7.9% over the last 12 months, a 40-year record, according to the Labor Department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Notably, these figures did not factor in the prices of gas or oil following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Earlier this week, Biden also warned gas prices are “going to go up”, again placing blame on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

But this graph from GasBuddy.com shows that gas prices rose by over 60% since Biden came into office before spiking another 15% following Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) summarized the lunacy of Biden’s lies and warned that Democrats would use Russia as their scapegoat for rising energy prices and inflation until the midterms and beyond.
