Presidential frontrunner Donald Trump and his recently-selected running mate J.D. Vance joined Jesse Watters on Fox News Monday night for an interview covering a slew of issues.
The GOP nominee said Biden’s Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle met with him in person following the attempt on his life in Pennsylvania earlier this month.

“It went very nicely, she was very nice I thought. But, you know somebody should have made sure there was nobody on that roof. That roof was a dead aim right onto the stage. And they said they didn’t have the manpower for it, which is crazy,” Trump said of the meeting.
He added, “Somebody’s got to be there. And it’s essentially a flat roof. I mean, I noticed that she said, ‘Well, this is a sloped roof,’ where you think of like a barn where you have a… this thing had just a little upswing in it, a few degrees. This was not – essentially it was a flat roof, so I don’t know…”
“Why couldn’t I have stayed off the stage for five minutes while they do their work?” Trump asked. “How does a situation happen where a roof that’s plainly in sight from the location where I was speaking, why would somebody not have seen that?”
While talking about deceased would-be assassin Thomas Crooks’ attack at the Butler, Pennsylvania, MAGA rally, Trump was asked if he thinks the shooter had help.

The 45th President said he didn’t think Crooks had help at first, but that now it has been revealed he had “encrypted phone numbers” and communications with foreign countries.
For now, Trump said he’ll wait until the investigation into the assassination attempt is complete to come to a conclusion about whether or not Crooks acted alone.
The GOP presidential nominee also explained he wishes someone would have delayed his speech when police officers and Secret Service agents reportedly became suspicious of Crooks’ behavior at the rally BEFORE Trump ever took the stage.
“Corey would be alive and two people that were seriously hurt would not be hurt,” he said referring to Corey Comperatore, who died after being shot at the rally.
At one point, Trump praised the Secret Service sniper who made the kill shot on Crooks.
Trump also revealed medical staff on scene wanted to put him on a stretcher after he was shot.
