The Donald Trump presidential campaign issued a statement Wednesday regarding future vice presidential debates.
Trump Campaign Senior Advisor Brian Hughes said, “We don’t know who the Democrat nominee for Vice President is going to be, so we can’t lock in a date before their convention. To do so would be unfair to Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, Gretchen Whitmer, or whoever Kamala Harris picks as her running mate.”
This means the Republicans want to wait until after the Democrat National Convention in late August to work out the terms of the presidential debates.
So far, Harris has accepted an offer by CBS News to appear a debate in August and the Trump campaign has agreed to a VP debate hosted by Fox News.
We’ll have to wait until after the DNC to find out if the Democrat nominee will agree to appear on Fox and if Vance will agree to debate on CBS.
The Democrats better find somebody good because Vance would obliterate Harris in a debate and we’ve already seen how Sleepy Joe vs. Donald Trump turned out.
