A previously-deported Jamaican national who was released back to the streets multiples times during the Biden years – despite a shocking criminal record – has been captured by federal authorities.

The U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) announced the recent apprehension of Marcel Pierre Grant in Atlanta, GA.

Pierre Grant’s first arrest came in 2001 when he was charged with carrying and possessing a firearm in public. His immigration status at that time remains unclear.

During 2002 alone, he was charged with a slew of offenses, including armed robbery with a firearm, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, bank robbery utilizing a firearm, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and various other crimes.

In 2003, he was arrested for conspiracy to commit aggravated bank robbery and use of a firearm during a crime of violence.

In 2006, he was arrested as a deportable alien and removed from the U.S.

Pierre Grant presumably reentered the U.S. at an undisclosed date and location and continued his crime spree.

In 2022, the Jamaican was detained for possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession of methamphetamine. He was also arrested for illegal reentry of a previously removed alien, but remained in the U.S.

In 2023, he was charged with possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Incredibly, Pierre Grant was released from custody yet again in 2024 but quickly violated the terms of his probation.

On Jan. 30, 2025, he was taken into custody by officers from USMS for the Northern District of Georgia and the Southeast Regional Fugitive Taskforce.

“Let the message go out to all criminals, both foreign and domestic. If you do harm to the citizens of the United States, you will not be allowed a moment of peace. You will not find shelter. If you illegally come to our communities to wreak havoc, you will be caught, and you will answer for your crimes,” US Marshal Thomas Brown stated.

Pierre Grant remains in custody at this time.

The Trump administration continues to ramp up immigration enforcement in the U.S. interior.
