
A correspondent for the Dutch news agency NOS was prevented from reporting at the 2022 Beijing Olympics after he was hauled off by Chinese officials during a live shot.
Illustrating the Chinese Communist regime’s intolerance for free speech, reporter Sjoerd den Daas was about start discussing the games when a Chinese official wearing a red arm band walked up and began ushering him away.

“Our correspondent [den Daas] was pulled away from the camera by security guards at 12:00 pm live in the NOS Journaal,” NOS later explained in a statement. “Unfortunately, this is increasingly becoming a daily reality for journalists in China. He is fine and was able to finish his story a few minutes later.”
