Kamala Harris told 60 Minutes that democracy was served when she unceremoniously replaced Joe Biden after he was forced off the Democratic ticket in August.
CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker asked Harris, “Was democracy best served by President Biden stepping down and basically handing you a nomination?”
“You didn’t have to go through a primary process. You didn’t have to fight off other contenders. That’s not really the way our system was intended to work,” he noted.

Harris insisted that Biden “decided” to step down because he thought it was best for the country.
“President Biden made a decision that I think history is going to show is rare among leaders, which was to put country before self,” she said.
“And I am proud to have earned the support of the vast majority of delegates and to have been elected the Democratic nominee. I am proud to have received the endorsement of leaders around this country from every background and walk of life to fight in this election ver the next month for our democracy.”
But Whitaker pointed out, “But I think this truncated process is why people think or say they don’t know who you are.”
Kamala snapped, “Look, I’ve been in this race for 70 days.”
Biden for weeks had resisted overwhelming calls by Democrat leaders to step down after his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump on June 27.
As Infowars reported, Biden finally stepped down a month later after former President Barack Obama and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened to invoke the 25th Amendment against him.
The Democrat coup against Biden was so obvious that even Gov. Gavin Newsom mocked the party’s subversion of the democratic process.
Meanwhile, Harris has avoided interviews and press conferences for the majority of her short time as the Democratic nominee.
Only recently has she been making the rounds with the press, talk shows, and podcasts, sitting down with Dana Bash of CNN last month and the raunchy Gen Z Call Her Daddy podcast last week.
Harris is also set to join The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Howard Stern Show and The View today amid sinking polls.
